Tim Cooke has exhibited his photographs widely around the North West since the early 90s when his work focused principally on shooting from the hip and large-scale photocollage (based on the work of the Magnum Agency and David Hockney). More recently, he has examined minimal landscapes, direct perspective and colour abstracts and a couple of years ago he had two pieces of photographic work in the 'Held' exhibition at Manchester Art Gallery, (some of his work in ceramics has also featured recently in the 'Say It With' collection, again at MAG). He is currently working on exploring the more abstract and transcendental aspects of photography through experimentation with everything that the new mobile technology and camera apps have to offer. If you want to look through a very extensive portfolio of Tim's most recent work, please go to See.Me. All of these images can be ordered through little fish. Tim is also a composer of music for Television documentaries and has been doing this successfully for the last 14 years. Here he presents a new CD release 'The Concentration of Light' which records some of the incredible journey that he went through last year as his life seemingly burnt down only to rise from the ashes reconstructed and entirely renewed. If you want to share in that journey, then grab yourself an advance copy. Follow the links above to view the pieces mainly from the last few years, though Pharaoic Nights is a snapshot of what he's up to right now.
